A majority of the cloud related articles that I have read from the end of last year to now, all have a common theme. 2012 is going to be the year of the cloud! I thought 2011 was the year of the cloud. It surely was the most talked about subject within the IT market. As I look back at 2011, the cloud talk was surely just that – talk and I mean that in a good way.As with any new tool/solution or toy that has been made available to you, one must learn how to use it in order to truly maximize all of its benefits. 2011 was that time for cloud computing; in its infancy, was still being defined – over and over again. The debate surely continues on as to what cloud computing truly is, however we now have specific types of cloud computing (private, public, hybrid) which makes it easier for IT professionals to understand and more importantly adopt.

According to KPMG’s “Clarity in the Cloud” study, 81% of businesses are either planning their initial forays, are in early or advanced stages of experimentation or have full implementations. In my opinion, 2012 is going to be the year of Cloud Adoption and Cloud Connect will help with that initative.  Learn about the latest cloud computing innovations at Cloud Connect’s comprehensive conference and expo, designed to serve the needs of IT professionals, developers and cloud providers. Here are a few sessions that will provide you with real life case studies and examples that will help you get a clearer understanding of the cloud:
